About Us
Student Outreach & Support (SOS) operates within the Office of the Dean of Students to provide essential, personalized assistance for students experiencing challenging situations.
Mission
Student Outreach and Support enhances self‑efficacy and perseverance by equipping students with the tools and support to advocate for themselves and overcome obstacles. SOS is committed to removing barriers and fostering resilience, self-advocacy, and well-being. We walk alongside students through life’s challenges, guiding them to relevant campus and community resources within a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Student Outreach and Support empowers each student to chart their own path, develop their resilience, and flourish academically, personally, and spiritually.
Our Services
- Management – Coordinated support tailored to individual student needs
- Access to Basic Needs Resources – Connections to hygiene products (SOS Closet), food (Community Cupboard), housing and financial support
- Non-Academic Accommodations – Assistance beyond classroom adjustments
- Resilience Coaching Program (coming soon) – Structured support to build autonomy and grit
- Resource Hub – A centralized listing of campus and community supports (CARE Team, counseling, health services)
- Confidential Advocates – Private assistance with personal and crisis situations
- CARE Team Support – Collaboration on case management, crisis response, training, and referrals
