Friars Club

The Friars Club of Providence College, established in 1928, is one of the oldest clubs and organizations at Providence College.  As stated by the official club description, “The Friars Club of Providence College promotes scholarship and the values of the Judeo-Christian heritage through the unique tradition of the Dominican Order.”

Friars Club is composed of more than seventy members who dedicate their time and energy to serving Providence College. The club gives tours to prospective students in their traditional white blazers each day.

Friars Club works various events on campus including Commencement, Convocation, St. Dominic Society Weekend, Freshman Accepted Students Weekend, Freshman Parents Weekend, and Upperclassman Parents Weekend.

The club also works at PC Hockey games, performances at the Smith Center for the Arts, and various functions and service opportunities throughout the city of Providence.
